Seeking Partnerships

At Crystal Palace Foundation Beckenham we run a football and education programme for 16 to 19 year old boys. We started the programme in 2012 and during that period have established a successful academy with over fifty boys. We have excellent coaching and training facilities where boys train and do their education throughout the week. Boys have the option to study onsite with our private education provider V.L.U.K or from september 2017 attend Coopers school in Chislehurst kent. At the school boys have the option to study A levels as well as the BTSC Level 3 extended diploma in sport.

We are seeking to form partnerships with local clubs in our area. We can offer boys the opportunity to train full time and open up pathways into the professional and semi professional game. Several of our year two boys are playing in the Ryman, Southern Counties and kent Invicta league. Four boys trialed with the Palace u18 last year.

Typically boys train either morning or afternoon four days a week. We have both indoor hall, fully equipped gymnasium and outdoor all weather surface 3G, The boys compete in two competitions ( Conference Youth Alliance League and the English Colleges League ) All games take place on a wednesday afternoon. We encourage boys to continue playing with their respective clubs as this is an important part of their development. All coaching is done by professional UEFA B or A licence football coaches.

Boys receive the education at the site so do not need to travel off site. The qualification is a BTEC level 3 extended diploma in sports performance. All tasks are done through an online learning platform and has been a very successful way of delivering the course. We have also been successful in terms of boys gaining the qualification with one of the highest success rates across the country.

If you would like any more information we would be happy to answer any questions. We will be holding trials early december and throughout the early part of next year.
